We Want Stargate

Amazon has axed the new Stargate series. The revival — led by franchise veteran Martin Gero, with Brad Wright and Joe Mallozzi as consulting producers — was cancelled on June 2nd, 2026, after a 20-week writers room and with pre-production already underway in the UK.

The stated reason? According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, Amazon execs were concerned that Gero’s take on the series would not have broad appeal beyond the franchise’s already dedicated fanbase. The very fans who kept this franchise alive for 30 years. We're not letting this go quietly.
